Hann River Roadhouse; provides great service for your accomodation, camping, food and fuel needs.

The Hann River Roadhouse serves food daily and sells food and drinks, supplies, souvenirs,fuel, ice and EFTPOS available. There is also a basic mechanical workshop here. Tyre repairs, trailer repairs, welding, batteries etc. Hann River now has a towing service available for breakdowns/recovery, transport etc.

You can also do some fishing here in the nearby Hann River.

In the off season which is November to April, we are opened from 6am till 9pm for fuel food etc and from May till October we are opened till 10pm or later. The kitchen closes at 7.30pm but snacks are available after this time.

Note on road conditions: The Peninsula Developmental Road road is closed for up to four months per year due to the summer wet season causing damage to the surface and flooding over low level river crossings.(source:https://en.wikipedia.org. Note on communications: Mobile phone coverage is generally not available in Cape York Peninsula, although some networks may have service in major towns, Laura, Coen and Weipa. At the Hann river you can select roaming wi fi on your device and create an account and use this paid service at any roadhouses along the way. It is essential to travel with other communication equipment, such as a satellite phone or UHF radio. It is also advisable to carry a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) (source:www.nprsr.qld.gov.au).
