Situated at the northern end of 4 Mile Beach beach, is the Port Douglas SLSC, founded in 1984, we patrol the beach and maintain the stinger enclosure.
Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club is a community organisation run by volunteers. The Port Douglas club currently has membership of 120+ made up of active volunteers who assist with beach patrol, through to junior members who are learning skills to become future lifesavers.
The club holds regular weekly training sessions throughout our Sports/Patrolling season May - Nov, and attends North Queensland surf sports carnivals. Training and sporting events allow our members opportunities to increase their fitness and skills.
