Dejaxo is a family-run artisan bakery run by husband-and-wife team, Damein and Kate Nabbs.
Everything we do as a family is underpinned by a simple, yet honest, approach to life, and running our business is no different.
With three locations around Perth
We have no ambition to be the biggest bakery in WA, preferring our size to remain perfectly formed so our ethos of quality over quantity is never compromised.
Life for Dejaxo actually started out as Fresh n’ Crusty in 1992. It’s been a long and winding road to get where we are today, but one filled with experience and skills to bring you the very best in handcrafted sourdoughs and pastries!
A kiss and cuddle in every loaf
The Dejaxo name is derived from the first two letters of our children, Detroit and Jagger. We added a ‘xo’ as a nod to the love poured into every loaf.
We have always loved good, nutritious food. With two young kids, one of whom is dairy free, we’ve shifted towards a ‘just eat real food’ mentality of cooking and eating. We are always looking for more nutrient-dense options and we like to eat food that is made from unprocessed, real, whole ingredients. As avid cooks, we make our family meals from scratch, avoiding chemicals and preservatives.
The best way is not always the easiest
We bring this ethos to our bakery business to form the core values behind our breads and our menu: simple, home-cooked style food with real, whole ingredients. Whilst we keep the ingredients in our baking simple, it has taken many years of hard work to perfect the process behind creating our delicious handcrafted sourdoughs and pastries.
