At our bakery’s heart is the desire to foster connections: whether it be through the carefully considered ingredients used to make artisanal bakes, the warmth of the staff’s interactions with their customers, or as a space where members of the community can cross paths.
“Inspired by the notion of being a ‘little village bakery’, I wanted Gathered Bakers to embrace the feeling of the Italian word accogliere: meaning to find a place, or to greet” says owner Bron Jukes. “Gathered is a back-to-basics bakery, demonstrating the beauty in flavours that remind us of home, using premium ingredients sourced as locally as possible.”
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 6.30am – 12.30pm, Gathered Bakers is serving an array of wholesome bakes to its customers. From slow fermented sourdough loaves through to leavened breads such as brioche; flaky croissants, cakes, tarts, and doughnuts, filled baguettes and focaccia as well as sausage rolls; there is something for everyone whether they are in the mood for sweet or savoury. Of course, there’s coffee too, using Single O coffee beans. And that’s not all. Gathered Bakers also offers a carefully curated selection of locally made condiments, small goods, cheeses, and ceramics. Perfect for that grab and go moment when you need something to top your fresh baguette; or are looking to not arrive somewhere empty handed.
