Scandinavian Dining Guide - Local Restaurants, Cafes, Takeaways

Scandinavian cuisine has shot to international acclaim in the last few years, thanks to the ingenuity of a certain Danish chef by the name of René Redzepi. So what does Scandi food encapsulate? Well, there are Swedish cinnamon rolls and meatballs, Danish pastries and Finnish pickled herring. Gravlax (also known as gravadlax) is also classically Scandinavian. The enticing appetiser features raw salmon, usually cured in a mixture of salt, sugar and alcohol. Check out our classic salmon recipe, or try the colourful beetroot version, for something a little bit different. From SBS Food
